TC Energy donates truck to Providence

General

Thanks to a recent gift from TC Energy, there may be some friendly competition in the Providence Facilities department over who gets to drive the new truck.

At Providence’s 21st annual Golf Classic, where TC Energy was one of 33 sponsors, representatives Frank Baranowski and Adam Wickman presented Providence Facilities with the 2014 Dodge Ram 1500.

A retired fleet vehicle, the Dodge Ram is used to hard work. And, beautifully outfitted with Providence decals, it is perfect for its new life on the rural Otterburne campus.

Dan McLeod, Director of Facilities Management, is thrilled with his new wheels:

“Our rural campus covers a large area and this vehicle has already assisted greatly in getting our staff and supplies to the locations that need repair and service. The generosity of TC Energy has also boosted our department’s morale by showing us they care and appreciate what we do for our students, staff and faculty. It may just be a truck, but this considerate act of giving has impacted people and facilities here way beyond the road!”

“We are pleased to provide one of our retired fleet trucks to the Facilities Department at Providence. This truck, complete with amber beacons and work area lighting will help keep their team safe and comfortable both on and off campus,” said Steve Loney of TC Energy.

Cody Quiring, Vice President External Relations, expresses Providence’s gratitude for the relationship with TC Energy since 2014. “We are extremely thankful for TC Energy’s continued support of our students and employees. TC Energy has gone above and beyond to outfit this truck with safety measures and branded decals. This gift will make an immediate impact on campus safety and facilities projects at Providence.”

Providence is thrilled with the generous gift to aid the Facilities team’s tireless work keeping the campus safe and well-looked-after for our students and employees. They play a vital role in providing a nurturing physical environment for our students to grow in knowledge and character to make a difference in society and the church.
