Goal: $4,500,000

Enhancements to the Providence campus will help us attract and retain more students and will contribute to the Providence experience that boasts of a beautiful campus, our strong Christ-centred community, accessible education offerings and rigorous academic standards.

Living and Learning Centre Initiative

We believe that students who live in vibrant and innovative residence communities, surrounded by caring mentors and engaged roommates and peers, will develop lasting friendships and connections, maximize their academic success, and mature in their own personal character and leadership potential. We believe employers, the Church and communities want and need whole persons.

To enhance our campus and community life we have already begun remodeling some of our spaces and we will continue enhancing our student residences, classrooms and chapels.

  • A Welcome Centre which holds reception, business office, registrars office, enrollment offices, athletic director office, and various small and medium-sized meeting rooms. This is a one-stop shop for students.
  • Classroom renovations (4H31 classroom in the Seminary)

  • Distance Education Residence Hall
  • Guest suites
  • New gym floor
  • Accessibility

Student Living and Learning Centre

In January 2020 we opened a new, state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly residence facility. The loss of Bergen Hall in June of 2017 left Providence needing residence space, particularly given consecutive years of enrollment growth. The new Student Living and Learning Centre, Muriel Taylor Hall, houses 60 students and provides an innovative, holistic program of spiritual, social and academic growth for Providence students.

The Providence campus has changed dramatically since the summer of 2016. We’ve built science classrooms, a laboratory, business classrooms, a small lecture theatre, faculty office spaces and a beautiful, multi-level courtyard. We’ve also completed the construction of our Welcome Centre which houses our Enrollment Department, Registrar’s Office and Business Office and functions as a one-stop shop for students coming on campus. In January 2020 we opened a thoughtfully designed Student Living and Learning Centre. We believe that these enhancements will help us attract and retain more students and will contribute to the Providence experience that boasts, not only of excellent higher education, but of a beautiful campus.
