Our Goal: $14.5 Million

Our goal is to ensure that the impactful work of Providence continues now and in the future. Our donors have played a huge role in securing Providence’s future through their contributions and now, by becoming legacy donors, our supporters can make an even bigger impact for Providence.

Here are a few examples of your donation and which fund to select in the Give form:

  • Living and Learning Centre – select ‘Campus Enhancements’
  • Scholarships and Bursaries – select ‘Providence Fund’
  • Athletics General – select ‘Providence Fund’
  • Athletics Adopt-A-Pilot – select ‘Providence Fund’
  • Athletics Sponsorships – select ‘Providence Fund’
  • Music Program – select ‘Providence Fund’
  • Endowed Scholarships – select ‘Endowed Scholarships’
  • Where Needed Most – select ‘Impact 2020 Undesignated’

When selecting a fund from the drop-down menu, please specify in the message box your desired donation location.

Legacy gifts include gifts-in-kind, wills and bequests, charitable trusts, gifts of shares, gifts of life insurance and pension assets, gifts of RRSPs, RRIFs, and pension, and matching gifts. Our number one goal is to ensure that your gifts are properly managed and applied to your specifications. It is our promise that the spirit and intent of your gift will help Providence students for generations to come.

You can give directly through CanadaHelps or you can fill out the form to the left.

Providence Stewardship Policy

Providence University College and Theological Seminary is a registered charity (Canada Revenue Agency Reg. #10821 6714 RR0001). As an institution, Providence is audited annually by an independent public accounting firm and certified annually by the Canadian Council of Christian Charities. Our annual report and financial statements are available upon request.

Gifts toward an approved program will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need has been met, or if the project cannot be carried out for any reason, designated gifts will be used where needed most. Funds will be used only for programs approved by the Board of Directors.

Our general practice is to mail a single receipt for donations made annually between January 1 and December 31 of the current year. These are mailed after the close of each calendar year; however, receipts can be requested at any time. Gifts must be received or postmarked by December 31 to appear on this annual receipt. Gifts made towards Providence’s annual Harvest Festival Banquet and Golf Tournament will receive separate event specific receipts following the event date and donation amounts directed toward these events will not be included on the annual donation receipt.

Your confidentiality is important to us, and as such it is Providence’s practice to never pass donor names or information on to other organizations.
